Education: Jaye Taylor received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Irvine.
Experience: Jaye's practice is intensely focused on family law litigation. She also has extensive experience in tax and financial planning, qualified plan design and administration, and insurance and securities portfolio design. A past lecturer and director of education for the American Society of Pension Actuaries, Jaye's financial and pension background make her particularly well suited to assist our clients in high-asset divorce litigation and estate litigation.
Achievements: During the last ten years, Jaye has successfully litigated some of the most challenging and emotionally charged family law cases in our state, involving custody of minor children to fathers, severe parental alienation and abduction, allegations of domestic violence and international move-away cases. In addition, she has litigated several challenges to wills and trusts. Jaye is a member of the Oregon State Bar's Judicial Administration Committee which is comprised of nineteen bar members throughout the state and confers with the governor on judicial appointments and administrative issues. Additionally, Jaye is the recipient of the 2006 University of Oregon Business and Education Partnership Award.
Activities and Community Involvement: Jaye and her husband, Lon, have two sons; Mike recently graduated from Harvard College, and Rand, a U of O grad, now attends law school at USC. Foster son, Nico, attends West Linn High School. She and Lon have been foster parents to seven children over the years. Jaye is a past Regional Coordinator for the High School Mock Trial competition and frequent Coach and Presiding Judge for the Oregon High School Mock Trial competition. Jaye was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for ChristieCare and is also a member of the Lake Oswego Jr. Women's Club. She is an avid cook and gardener.
